All food gets its start in a garden.  Not only does Care and Share collect and distribute food, but we also operate under the goal of teaching food sustainability by getting our hands dirty together in our community garden, permaculture garden, greenhouse and orchards at our Colorado Springs facility.

SNAP or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, is the new name for the federal Food Stamp Program. The name change reflects the focus on nutrition and putting healthy foods within reach for low-income households.

Mobile Food Pantries

A Mobile Food Pantry can transport up to 16,000 pounds of food. A typical mobile pantry distributionlasts two hours and provides 100 to 150 families with nutritious food to help them make ends meet, as well as access to information about nutrition, food stamps, social and other services in the area.
