Good morning friends of Care and Share!
Today, we have a can of Clam Chowder that expired in October, 1993! If you’ve ever volunteered at Care and Share, you have most likely worked in the sorting and repacking room. This is where each can of food is inspected for damaged containers, expiration dates, and recalled items. The items that we cannot distribute are either composted, sent to Future Pointe where it is turned into animal feed, or safely disposed of. We work very hard to ensure that everything that goes out the door is safe for human consumption.
