What’s in the Warehouse??

Good morning friends of Care and Share!

We found some beautiful pumpkins growing in our permaculture garden! What a wonderful way to remember that we are in the throws of fall (despite the very warm weather)

What is permaculture? Permaculture (permanent agriculture) is the conscious design and maintenance of agriculturally productive ecosystems which have the diversity, stability, and resilience of natural ecosystems.

One principle about permaculture gardening that we gravitate to is to produce no waste. Everything is reused and put back into the earth to create a more sustainable food source. This is in full alignment with our philosophy–zero waste for zero hunger.

Our permaculture gardens are maintained in large part by dedicated volunteers. Volunteers help us weed, water, and harvest. For more information, contact Donna Ross at 719-434-4671 or donna@careandshare.org.
