It’s that time of year— the holiday season at Care and Share. We have many ways you can get involved- hosting a food drive, donating a turkey, helping us stuff a bus!
Do you work at an organization or business and want to host a food drive this holiday season? If so, CAREDRIVEis for you. It’s simple- collect food, raise money and bring your items to the food bank at the end of your drive. Tight on space, or have an at-home business? No worries. Care and Share offers a virtual food drive option – a place where you can raise money online through an interactive website – that is both engaging and fun for the participant!
Harvest of Love is just around the corner and more than 120 area schools will be participating in this annual drive held the first three weeks in November. On Saturday, November 15thfrom 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. you’ll have the chance to participate in Harvest of Love by stopping by any area King Soopers and make a donation.
A Gobble for All Turkey Drive at Panera Bread will be held from November 17th through November 23rd. All Colorado Springs Panera Bread locations will serve as a drop off point for frozen turkeys. Please take the frozen turkey into the café and you’ll receive a $3 off coupon for a turkey salad or sandwich. We’d like to thank our friends at Two Men and a Truck for generously supporting this drive by providing the transportation from Panera’s freezer to ours.
Captain Dan and Tammy Oakland of KLite 106.3 FM and Shellene Cockrell of News5 Today will rally their listeners and viewers for Take a Turkey to Work Day on Friday, November 21st from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. We invite YOU to organize an office collection to culminate on the 21stand have one staff member bring that turkey to the following Walmart locations- 8th Street, Palmer Park, or Razorback Rd.
KPHT 95.5 partners with Pueblo Transit and Care and Share to “Stuff the Bus” full of food for Pueblo families who do not have enough food this holiday season. Tune into 95.5FM find out how you can donate nonperishable food items or turkeys to help families enjoy a holiday meal. KPHT 95.5 will be collecting from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. on the 21st so please stop by and help us stuff the bus!
