We Love Volunteers!!!

Good morning!

The last Tuesday of each month we will bring you a volunteer highlight. To kick off this new tradition, we would first like to share with you how important volunteers are to our work. Last year, we benefited from more than 7,400 instances of volunteerism, culminating in more than 35,000 hours! These volunteers gave their time and talents to nearly every aspect of our work, from working in our warehouse and in our gardens to helping us with administrative work. Our small staff of 40 could not reach our Southern Colorado neighbors in need throughout 31 counties without the generosity of volunteers. Thank you!

Volunteers are a vital part of Care and Share Food Bank’s core purpose to bridge the gap between hunger and abundance. We believe that our volunteers are some of our best advocates and champions. We encourage collaboration with volunteers of all ages, who generously share their time, talents and resources as equal partners. We provide our volunteers, as valued members of our team, with the best available training, tools and recognition. We strive to make Care and Share Food Bank an attractive and fulfilling place to volunteer. Together we can bridge the gap between hunger and abundance in Southern Colorado.
