Raise Your Fork-TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY TO GIVE!

Good morning friends of Care and Share,

This has been quite a month–it is hard to believe that our first-ever crowd funding campaign is nearing an end. We set a lofty goal and had lofty expectations, and thanks to you, we have $8,602 in our forklift fund. Although we have a long ways to go to reach $40,000, the good news is you can still give!

We know that long-running fundraising campaigns can be difficult–it is hard to stay engaged for a whole month, you miss our regular social media and blog posts, and you are ready for life to resume as usual. We also know that there are many other worthy causes to support, so we are very grateful for your patience and generosity!

As we near the summer months, when child hunger reaches its most critical point, we are gearing up for our Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.  On Saturday, May 9, 2015 letter carriers across Southern Colorado will collect food donations in order to provide assistance to our neighbors in need. Stamp Out Hunger is Care and Share’s largest single-day food drive each year. The food we collect during this time is so important for children that no longer have access to school meals.

On May 9th, more than 100,000 of pounds of food will arrive at our warehouse. All of this food will be moved at least once by a forklift. We are sure that by now you know that we literally cannot do our work without adequate, reliable forklifts. If you have been waiting to give to our Raise Your Fork campaign, wait no longer. We need you! Please take a few minutes to give what you can, and help us spread the word.  http://www.razoo.com/story/Raise-Your-Fork

Thank you!
