Good morning friends of Care and Share!
At the food bank, we are always in need of shelf-stable protein items like peanut butter. Well, look at this! We received approximately 10,000 pounds of Skippy for our Southern Colorado neighbors at risk of hunger.
Hormel Foods donated the peanut butter to Feeding America because the product, made in the USA, was mistakenly labeled for the Japanese market.
Two groups of volunteers, including our friends at the Bank of Colorado, helped us relabel the jars with an ingredient list that is in English.
