There are many meanings associated with the color orange- joy, creativity, youth, adventure, excitement, warmth, flamboyance, loud…yes, LOUD!!

I think we’re going for loud today. September 4th is Wear Orange Day during Hunger Action Month 2014. Today, we’re wearing orange to speak out against hunger, to be loud, to be bright, to let people know that it’s not okay that 1 in 7 of their Southern Colorado neighbors don’t know where their next meal is coming from, or that 1 in 4 Southern Colorado children do not have access to enough nutritious food to live healthy, productive lives.

Food is one thing that we all have in common, and that we can all share. Will you wear orange with us?
