Cooking for A Cause

Once a month, Care and Share offers a unique dining experience called Cooking for a Cause. The event features some of our community’s greatest chefs that are passionate about Care and Share’s mission. Tonight’s guest chef is Corey Wilson (guest blogger from Tuesday) and he’ll be preparing a fantastic meal centered around pork. Although pork is the most commonly consumed meat worldwide, this pig is special because it was raised by our friends at Future Pointe using food waste from Care and Share.

Future Point, which guest blogged for us earlier this week, gives new meaning, purpose, and trajectory to presently discarded or disengaged people, places, and things. With the help of Future Pointe, Care and Share diverted 92% of our waste from landfills last year. Pretty impressive, right?
