During the month of September, we presented weekly Hunger Action Month (HAM) challenges to our staff, including Wear Orange Day, office decorating, Food Assistance Challenge, and the most delicious orange food creation. Wanda Stanley, our Volunteer Coordinator, won the Hammie Award by winning the most points for her participation in these events. You may remember her picture, the mysterious orange-masked stranger, from the Wear Orange Day Winner blog posted September 5th.
Wanda is an outstanding team player and is always willing to go above and beyond for the work we do to bridge the gap between hunger. Wanda said of the HAM challenges that she “had a lot of fun participating in Hunger Action Month. It was fun to dress up in all orange and put my twist on hunger awareness.” Thanks Wanda!
