Refrigerators…21 of them to be exact.

During the summer, we received a grant from the National Dairy Council to increase access to dairy products for our food insecure neighbors. Many of our agencies don’t distribute dairy or other perishable products because they don’t have refrigeration units. This grant allowed us to purchase 21 refrigerators, thanks to a great deal from Sears, to distribute to agencies in El Paso, Archuleta, Lincoln, Pueblo, Fremont, Otero, La Plata, and Bent counties. Now these agencies will have the ability to distribute more nutritious food to those in need!
