Today we got in our TEFAP order! TEFAP, The Emergency Food Assistance Program, helps us provide food to thousands of people each month. We hold the contract for TEFAP for our entire 31-county service area, which helps us deliver surplus commodities, such as dairy products, to people who qualify for this federal program. Because of an increase in funding, we now distribute TEFAP commodities to every Southern Colorado county we serve. During our last fiscal year, we distributed 3,684,512 pounds of TEFAP food to 25,577 individuals.
