During Hunger Action Month, the Care and Share team is having weekly competitions to determine our greatest Anti-hunger hero. Here’s a picture of yesterday’s Wear Orange Day winner.
This mysterious character definitely went all out!
Next week’s competition is office decorating. Although we love a good time, this portion of the competition will also be educational. The winner will need to incorporate all of these hunger statistics into his/her design.
-1 in 7 Southern Coloradoans are at risk of missing at least one meal each day.
-1 in 4 Southern Colorado children are unsure where their next meal will come from.
-15.3% of Southern Colorado’s population is food insecure.
-More than 15.8 million meals were provided last year by Care and Share.
-Care and Share welcomes over 7,400 volunteers each year.
