Volunteer Opportunities at Sunny Side Market
A New Kind of Volunteer Experience
Sunny Side Market is a network of local food pantries owned and operated by Care and Share Food Bank. Currently, we have two locations - Pueblo and Fountain. Sunny Side volunteers help us get a variety of food to our neighbors in need through a warm, dignified, and respectful shopping experience. At Sunny Side Market, volunteers must be ages 14 and up. Volunteer tasks will be assigned upon arrival.
What you can expect
Check In and Check Out Volunteers
Assist guests with their needs as they arrive and get ready to head home with their bags of food. This position involves helping first-time shoppers get set up with a personal key fab to use for quick, self-guided check ins during future visits.
Sorting and Stocking Volunteers
Help us sort and stock produce, shelf-stable items, refrigerated goods and more. We get food from farmers, grocery stores, retailers, and community members. The amount and type of food we receive varies and our shelves will look different from time to time.
Sanitizing and Cleaning Volunteers
We want to make sure everyone who visits and volunteers at Sunny Side Market stays safe and healthy. Volunteers will help sanitize shopping carts, equipment, and other objects people could come into contact with.
