Larry Paulson

Story Type: Volunteers

Larry remains active, happy, and busy every week. He has been volunteering with Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado for seven years. “I believe strongly in the mission – that no one should go hungry.” Larry is committed to being part of a local nonprofit that provides a need for Southern Colorado.

Larry enjoys taking donations, assisting agencies with food orders, and working alongside Care and Share employees and volunteers. Larry feels volunteering makes him a part of the community and keeps him connected to serving a greater good. “My favorite thing about Care and Share is knowing that you’re making a difference in someone’s life,” he said. “It’s special to be part of that, and I think it’s really meaningful to know that you’re helping an individual or a family have secure access to food.”

Those who know Larry and work alongside him would describe him as selfless, kind-hearted with a great sense of humor. He remains steadfast, upbeat, and is a delight to be around!
