Meal Sites and Food Pantries

To ensure that hungry people have consistent access to nutritious food, Care and Share sources, procures, processes and delivers food and grocery products from private donors, the food industry, local farmers and the state/federal government to emergency and non-emergency feeding programs.

Through our partner network of 286 non-profit agencies across 31 Colorado counties, we are able to work together to effectively respond and support the unique hunger challenges facing Southern Colorado communities. Through these partnerships, Care and Share Food Bank distributes more that 23 million pounds of food each year.

Among other things, all Care and Share Food Bank partners must:

  • Have a 501 (c) 3 non-for-profit tax exempt status organization with a letter from IRS.
  • Have a recognized charity and a feeding program serving the needy, ill, infants or elderly.
  • Provide services for at least 3 months prior to applying for membership with written record of this operation
