Good afternoon friends of Care and Share!

We just harvested  some beautiful vegetables from our very own garden and we are so excited to show you!

We have also included recipes for each item that come from Share our Strength’s Cooking Matters. Cooking Matters is a six-week course that teaches low-income participants how to make simple, healthy meals on a budget during a six-week course. We are very proud to host this program at Care and Share.

Although there are a few purple beans in here, they will turn green when cooked. Cool, huh?
Substitute another green vegetable for the peas if you prefer—spinach, green beans, edamame or lima beans are all good options.
