HAPPY VOLUNTEER APRECIATION MONTH!
Volunteers are the heart of Care and Share. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to feed more than 153,000 neighbors in need, or distribute nearly 20 million meals to 31 counties across Southern Colorado. Whether it’s sorting and packing food donations, or assisting with administrative work- the time our volunteers give is valuable to our mission. Words can’t describe our appreciation!
Last year, we had 17,885 instances of volunteerism and clocked in 50,337 volunteer hours! Kids as young as six years old helped us create meal boxes for our neighbors in need.
We are always in need of volunteers! If you’ve helped out at our distribution center before, come on back and sign up for a shift! If you are new and interested in getting involved, we’d love to see you at our food bank!
