From Venetucci Farm to Table

Good afternoon friends of Care and Share!

Today, we received some beautiful herbs and veggies from the Venetucci Farm.

These beautiful tomatoes, oregano, basil, eggplants, squash, and onions are going to be used in a Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters class tomorrow.

Through a six week course, our Cooking Matters Coordinators teach low-income participants basic nutrition information and how to make healthy meals on a budget. Last year, we taught nearly 600 Cooking Matters participants how to transform their eating habits.

Tomorrow, the veggies featured above will be transformed into Ratatouille! This amazing meal is simple, affordable, and super nutritious.
