Have you heard of Cooking Matters? It’s an amazing program where low-income families and individuals learn how to shop for and cook nutritious meals on a budget. Our Cooking Matters team will hold “At the Store Tours,” helping participants how to decipher nutritional labels and choosing the right foods. This month, for the first time in Cooking Matters history, they took their tour on the road…. and to one of our Mobile Food Pantry distributions! It was really exciting and a great opportunity to reach even more people.

More than 100 people participated in the event, learning different nutrition information at each table. They were able to receive recipes that feature many of the food items and produce they received at the Mobile Food Pantry. We are excited to share our success with other partners throughout the state.
