Announcing El Paso County Emergency Senior Food Delivery Collaboration

Emergency Senior Food Bags

We’re delighted to be part of a community collaboration with The Salvation Army, Crossfire Ministries, Silver Key, COSILoveYou, and Pikes Peak United Way’s 2-1-1 helpline during the month of April, 2020.

Our organizational collaboration developed from the awareness that vulnerable seniors are going hungry more frequently as a result of COVID-19 considerations, and our goal is to provide free groceries for them during the month of April. So, starting April 1, 2020 the program will begin delivering bags of shelf-stable food to seniors in our El Paso County community who are without transportation or have been ordered to quarantine.

Our role is to assemble volunteers to pack emergency food bags for seniors. You can help us! Learn more about volunteering at Care and Share here.

NEED HELP?

During the month of April, if you do not have transportation and you are a Senior 60+, the program can deliver a food bag to you. Call Pikes Peak United Way at 2-1-1.
