Good morning friends of Care and Share!
Lori Kapu recently left Care and Share to take on new adventures as the Director of Finance with Catholic Charities of Central Colorado. Lori’s departure marked the end of a significant era in Care and Share’s history. During her more than 26 years here, most recently serving as the Chief Operating Officer, Lori was instrumental in expanding the mission of this organization and ensuring the people of Southern Colorado have the food they need to thrive. I know you share my feelings of gratitude for all that she has done for Care and Share and the people we serve. We wish her well in her new role.
I am excited to share that Stacy Poore will now serve as our Chief Operating Officer. Stacy has served as the Chief Development Officer at Care and Share for four and a half years. She brings to the position a strong understanding of our work as well as more than 30 years of nonprofit and for profit experience, to include warehouse and logistics operations, in the Colorado Springs community. During her time at Care and Share, Stacy and the Development Team have been instrumental in garnering and growing support in the areas of food, funds, and friends. The Development Team will continue their work around marketing, communications, fundraising, food procurement, food access, and volunteer services. We will be searching locally and within the Feeding America network for just the right person to fill the Chief Development Officer role.
We are excited about this time, about the future, and about all that we will accomplish. Your support and partnership make our work possible and Southern Colorado communities are stronger because you care. Please stop by to see us or call if you want to hear about all that we are doing. Thank you for sharing our belief that no one should go hungry, and as always, thanks for reading!
