Everyone needs nutritious food to thrive. Yet, tens of millions of people in the United States―including 1 in 9 Southern Coloradans hunger. Joining Care and Share Food Bank in the movement to end hunger helps ensure everyone, no matter their race, background or ZIP code, has access to the food and resources needed to thrive.
That’s why this September, we are asking everyone to join us for Hunger Action Month. Our voice, actions, and commitment help ensure every community has the food they need to thrive. Because when people are fed, futures are nourished. There are so many ways to get involved in Hunger Action Month!
- Grab a friend or family member and sign up to volunteer.
- Come together with your co-workers or classmates to host a food drive.
- Can’t join us in person? You can also donate to our online fundraiser. $1 = 5 meals for neighbors in need.
This year, we hope to raise $80,000. And, thanks to generous contributions from the Abram and Ray Kaplan Foundation, Peggy and Chris Rice, and Rampart Supply, your donation will be matched, up to $40,000 dollars!
Every action―big or small―is one step closer to an America where no one is hungry. Learn more about all the ways you can take action throughout the month.
