Each month we highlight different Care and Share Employees and the work they do. We are excited to get to know our newest Regional Manager, Kyle Moore!
I’ve been with Care and Share since October 2022, initially as a member of the Operations team. At the beginning of May I transitioned into my current role as Pikes Peak Regional Manager. I was drawn to Care and Share originally from a desire to provide direct assistance to those in my community experiencing food insecurity and poverty. It’s important to me for my work to align with my core values, and Care and Share’s mission is one that is deeply inspiring to me. It is something that continues to nourish and energize me each day I come to work.
My background is actually in museum curation and historic preservation. While food banking may be a bit of a pivot from that space, I’ve accrued lots of skills over the years working in the museum world that have proved to be hugely beneficial to me in my current role. I thoroughly enjoy working side by side with our agency partners who play such a vital role in fighting hunger across southern Colorado. I am also very grateful for all the incredible coworkers I have at Care and Share who have provided me such great support and who continue to do amazing work for our community. It is truly a privilege to work with such committed and compassionate individuals, many who I now consider close friends.
In my free time I am either playing one of my many stringed instruments or hiking in the backcountry. I’m also very passionate about soccer, both as a player and as a follower of various leagues around the world.
