Care and Share Food Bank’s Agency Council

We are forming our first Agency Council: a governing body, which includes members of the Care and Share agency network, to provide firsthand and real-world experience in addressing hunger on the frontlines. The council will serve as a platform for partners to be heard and be represented when decisions are made about how Care and Share achieves the mission of ending hunger in Southern Colorado. The Council will also assist with leading agency bi-monthly meetings and providing workshops, trainings, etc.

Every experience is different from each agency’s perspective, so a variety of perspectives will provide better feedback for organization-wide decision making. We will work to ensure there is equitable representation on this council meaning, all our regions will be represented as well as a variety of sizes of operations. Primarily, we want this council to assist with strategizing county or region wide plans to create more equitable and accessible charitable food system, as well as assist with strategizing network growth and efficiency. The members of the Council will help decide the frequency of meetings, scope of work, terms of the council.
