Dear friends and volunteers,

Over these past few months, I have worked alongside some of the most passionate, intelligent, resilient people I have ever met. Thanks to the community of Care and Share, I have learned to be a better listener, to meet others where they are, and that compassion is contagious.

If Care and Share’s employees and volunteers have taught me anything, it’s to remember to listen closely when your heart speaks. For me, for a while now, mine has reminded me of my love for marketing. I decided to take the plunge by accepting a position as a Marketing Communication Specialist with the Governor’s Office of Information Technology. As I prepare for this next chapter, I find myself centering on gratitude. Being part of this organization and all of the people surrounding it has given me more hope than I can say.

Thank you for allowing me the time and space to work alongside you – our volunteers – who give us hours of their busy life to advance our mission…You are all truly inspiring individuals. I leave with confidence knowing you will well cared for as Mary Lasch steps in to assist with volunteer engagement and recruiting during the replacement process.
