Hello Care and Share friends, and happy Wednesday!

Over the weekend, we had a great off-site volunteer event with our friends over at Red Rock Church, and we wanted to share the experience with you. Dozens of volunteers from the church got together to help us prepare Stamp Out Hunger bags.

Stamp Out Hunger is the largest single-day food drive in the country. In 2017, we received more than 70,000 pounds of food donations. How awesome is that? The bags we prepare are important. Leading up to the day of the event, letter carriers will put them in mailboxes- that way community members can fill the bags with nonperishable food.  The volunteers at Red Rock Church were able to prepare more than 1,000 bags for us! We couldn’t be more appreciative of their generosity.
