Good afternoon friends of Care and Share!

Today, we had a wonderful visit with our friends from the Western Dairy Association (WDA). WDA recommended that we receive a grant from the National Dairy Council. With this grant, we received funding to purchase some refrigerators for our partner agencies to have increased capacity to distribute dairy products and other perishable food items. We posted a picture of the units when they arrived at our warehouse waaaay back in the September 17th What’s in the Warehouse Wednesday post.

Today, we visited Fishes and Loaves, a food pantry in Colorado Springs that was a recipient of a refrigeration unit. This food pantry is doing great things with their new refrigerator and we are so proud to partner with them in the fight against hunger.
