1st Annual Pueblo Recipe for Hope

April 5, 2019

We are thrilled over the success of our first Recipe for Hope luncheon in Pueblo! Through the support of our generous donors, we raised more than $77,000. This significant contribution to our work will allow us to provide more than half a million meals for our neighbors struggling with hunger throughout Southern Colorado.

But this isn’t just Care and Share’s success. It’s the community’s. We couldn’t have done it without you. More than 400 people came to the event held at the Pueblo Convention Center— table captains, guests, and sponsors. Our amazing speakers, Peter Medina and Wendy Adame, delivered heartfelt and moving speeches.

Peter Medina sharing his story of coming to Care and Share as a volunteer and working within our Cooking Matters program.
Wendy shared how she appreciates the school food pantry within her middle school.

If you attended, we hope it was as inspirational for you as it was for us. Thank you to our Pueblo Recipe for Hope 2019 sponsors: El Pomar Foundation, Black Hills Energy, Legacy Bank, Kaiser Permanente, Ent Credit Union, New Horizons Ministries, and Xcel Energy.
