Our new SLV Distribution Center is now serving neighbors

Last month, we celebrated the grand opening of our THIRD distribution center in Alamosa. Our SLV Distribution Center will primarily serve the San Luis Valley and the Southwest Region of Colorado. We are excited to use this opportunity to provide locally grown produce to our neighbors and contribute to the SLV economy!

“This is a new chapter in our fight against hunger,” said Care and Share’s President and CEO, Nate Springer. “The 25,000 sq. ft. facility will allow us to cut down on transportation time and mileage, allowing our
over-the-road drivers to deliver even more nutritious food to partner agencies across the southwest region.”

We want to thank everyone who came out to our grand opening celebration, particularly those who made the evening possible: Avangrid Renewables, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, San Luis Valley Federal Bank, San Luis Valley Health, and San Luis Valley REC, along with The Sunflour Café and our Alamosa Coors distribution partner, Gene.
