Recipe for Hope 2016

Hi friends of Care and Share!
Yesterday was our 8th annual Recipe for Hope event at the Broadmoor. We always look forward to this event because we get to see many of our friends and supporters all in one room! Nearly 1,000 community members joined us to learn about our work and to hear stories of hope and inspiration. Our key speakers, featured below, were fantastic!
Key event speakers left to right:
Dana Adoretti, owner of Sprinklers, Etc.; Domanic Lopez, student at North Middle School; Lynne Telford, President and CEO of Care and Share

“As we gather here today, I invite you to consider the difference you can make right now…and consider why ending hunger is not only important to the people we serve, to our partner agencies, and to the community’s well-being…but why it is important to you!”

“Thank you for coming here today and for what you do to make things like the North Middle School pantry possible. It means more than you will ever know for kids like me and other kids at my school.”
“So why me? Why do I give back? I now give back because I can and because we were given so much help, assistance, and support when I was growing up.”

If you have a few minutes, please watch this short video that we featured at the event. You might see a few people that you recognize!
Thank you to everyone that attended Recipe for Hope and helped to make this event a great success! Save the date for next year, March 2nd, 2017 and tune in next week to see how we did.
Have a great weekend!
