Stamp Out Hunger

On Saturday, May 11th, letter carriers, Care and Share staff, and over 100 volunteers came together to help us Stamp Out Hunger! Over 60,000 pounds of food was donated when you take into account the monetary donations we received during the event. Thank you to our friends at the National Association of Letter Carriers for partnering with us for this event. 

Recipe for Hope - SLV

The inaugural Recipe for Hope Luncheon at the San Luis Valley on Thursday, May 16th at the Ski-Hi Complex in Monte Vista was a huge success. We want to thank everyone who attended and participated. During the event we shared powerful stories of hope from our neighbors and partners across the Valley and Southwestern Colorado.  Our President and CEO Nate Springer also shared information about Care and Share and the distribution center in Alamosa. Daily Collection Site

Hanson HotSpring Spas is a dedicated supporter of Care and Share Food Bank. Located on 1835 Dublin Boulevard, it’s an ongoing collection site. That means the next time you stop in, you can bring some non-perishable food donations with you. Hanson HotSpring Spas also holds a twice-annual Customer Appreciation Day drive on the 3rd Saturday in May and the 2nd Saturday in December.

Daily Collection Site
Located on 1885 Briargate Pkwy, The Promenade Shops at Briargate is an ongoing collection site. That means the next time you stop by to shop, you can bring some non-perishable food donations with you. The drop-off bin is located inside the management office, between Paper Source and Pottery Barn.
Bring Your Own Bag
Each time you shop at Natural Grocers, be sure to bring your own bags—any bags—and they’ll donate five cents per shopping trip. Not only are you supporting Care and Share efforts but you are also reducing your carbon footprint by keeping bags out of the landfill.
