Enterprise Zone status expiring December 31, 2019

There’s still time to make an Enterprise Zone contribution in 2019 but you must act soon! Please note: CHECKS MUST BE POSTMARKED BY DECEMBER 31, 2019 TO BE ELIGIBLE

For more than a decade, Care and Share has had the privilege of being part of the El Paso County Enterprise Zone Program which provides a state tax incentive to donors who contribute through the program. Due to changes at the state level, this partnership is coming to an end. We are grateful for all we have been able to accomplish over the years thanks to our dedicated donors who capitalized on this rewarding tax incentive.

The good news is there’s still time to make an Enterprise Zone contribution in 2019! Care and Share’s status as an Enterprise Zone Project does not expire until December 31, so you can still take advantage of the tax incentive through the end of the calendar year.

We recognize that tax credits are not the only reason to invest in Care and Share. More likely, it is a shared belief that no one should go hungry. With our community by our side, Care and Share will continue to close the gap between hunger and abundance.

To take advantage of the tax credit:

  • Gifts must be made in the form of a check for $250 or more
  • Write the check to the “El Paso County Enterprise Zone.”
  • Include the last four digits of your social security number in the memo line.
  • Checks must be received or postmarked prior to December 31 to be eligible to receive the tax credit.
