Every month we like to introduce one of the many fabulous employees who help Care and Share fulfill its mission.
This month we are featuring our Inventory Controller, Jason Schenk.
“I was attracted to Care and Share instinctively because of this mission and the feeling of putting people before profit. It’s a very welcoming environment here, I’ve met some of the most kind-hearted individuals, and they all feel like family. I have worked here 6 years so far, and I was volunteering for a year beforehand. I started as an order picker putting together the orders that go out to the agencies, and then having done that for 5 years strong I got the opportunity to become inventory controller in February of 2020. Despite my initial trepidations of the challenges that the new position presented, it turns out I enjoy the strategy and mathematical puzzles that present themselves daily. In my free time I enjoy strategic mind games like Chess & Magic: The Gathering. I also have an affinity for all things Batman since he is the greatest superhero. I can talk philosophy or movies any time, unless of course the Minnesota Vikings are playing! SKOL!”
