We are excited to share that the current Map the Meal Gap interactive map will be updated with 2022 data and be available to the public in May 2024.
This interactive map is an important tool that helps Feeding America, food banks, partner agencies, and elected officials improve our understanding of food insecurity and the food costs at the local level. Check out this important tool below!
Care and Share partner agencies that distribute USDA foods through the TEFAP or Every Day Eats (CSFP/Senior Boxes) programs will need to have a representative present at these virtual gatherings.
At these quarterly coalition gatherings, we will go over better practices, what to expect during State management evaluations, and more. To learn more, please connect with Steven Williams, Program Director, at StevenW@careandshare.org.
Steven Williams, Program Director, reflected on his experience representing Care and Share at the Farm Bill Fly-In over on our blog.
“Amidst the hustle and bustle of our daily efforts to support families in need across Colorado, a remarkable truth emerges,” Steven writes. “Coloradans are resilient, but they need our support now more than ever.”

Care and Share is proud to partner with Southern Colorado farmers to provide local produce to neighbors.
One way we work with our local farmers is through the Local Food Purchasing Agreement (LFPA), a grant provided through the USDA and the State of Colorado.
Learn more about this partnership over on our blog.
