GOALZERO Recycling

Story Type: Programs

At Care and Share Food Bank, we believe that no one should go hungry. We also believe that we should all be careful stewards of our community. In an effort to reduce landfill waste and create more opportunities to feed our neighbors in need, we began an innovative program called GOALZERO Recycling.

How does it work? Through GOALZERO, we offer free recycling services to the public- collecting cardboard, #1 and #2 plastics, shrink wrap, zipper storage bags, aluminum, office paper, newspaper, and wooden pallets. We bale these materials, then sell it. All the revenue made goes directly back to generating more meals for kids, families, and individuals in Southern Colorado.

This program is great for our community, and we hope you will take part in it! If you would like to drop off your recyclable materials, GOALZERO is located at 2265 Waynoka Road on the east side of Colorado Springs. Drop-off hours are Monday-Saturday, 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. To learn more about GOALZERO Recycling, contact

Together, we can reduce waste and fight hunger!
