Good morning friends of Care and Share,
Despite the weather, Stamp Out Hunger was a great success! Although there are still some donations trickling in, Saturday’s total was 63,425 pounds. This is the equivalent of 52,854 meals!!!
Stamp Out Hunger is really important for us because it helps to mitigate summer hunger for children who no longer have access to school food. Currently, 1 in every 4 Southern Colorado children do not know where their next meal is coming from…or if it will come at all.
HOWEVER, this doesn’t have to be the reality! Your donation on Saturday will help us reach these children at risk of hunger and help to make their summer brighter.
We are so proud of and grateful for our Southern Colorado neighbors who are generous of heart and dedicated to making our world a better place. Thank you for your support!
