Food Pantries
Food Pantries
Amongst the programs offered by Care & Share is a robust distribution network it has across 31 counties to over 325 Partner Agencies including:
· Emergency food pantries open to the general public in communities throughout the Care & Share service area;
· Soup kitchens and feeding sites that prepare meals on site for clients coming from the general public needing assistance with prepared meals; and
· Non-emergency food pantries that are not open to the general public but rather serve a specifically designated group of clients. These agencies offer services that have a primary purpose other than emergency food distribution but also distribute food. Examples include: state licensed group homes, shelters, day cares, summer camps, residential programs, etc.
To find an emergency food pantry enter a zip code under “Find A Pantry” on the navigation bar to the left. You may also dial 2-1-1 to obtain information about pantries in your community.
